Gypsum Hills Prairie
The Gypsum Hills area in south-central Kansas has a unique topography and a luxuriant flora. The soils vary from clay to sand and are bright red in color. The topography is rugged and the scenic beauty splendid. The dominant grasses vary from buffalo-blue grama to big bluestem-little bluestem. Wildflower hunting in this region is a treat.
