Dakota Verbena (Verbena bipinnatifida) Nutt.

Dakota verbena is a low, hairy, prostrate to erect perennial 6-18 inches tall. The leaves are pinnately parted 2 or3 times with general deltoid shape. The flowers are showy, tubular, and are borne in capitate heads. Each flower is 1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter and subtended by a slender bract.
